Ã¦QUÃ† articulates the simplicity of summer wrapped around a catchy melody.
Sherwood has gone back in time to re-live their first EP, not so much to
recreate the music, but to bring back the feelings you originally got from
the music.

The freshness this whole record has is foreshadowed by the a capella intro
["Shelter"]. Using lots of acoustic guitars along with keeping the effects to
a minimum, the album is able to create a breezy atmosphere, though it doesnÃ†t
sacrifice integrity to achieve feelings of summer time. ItÃ†s really hard to
say that Ã´Not Gonna LoveÃ¶ steals the show, especially when backed up against
the equally as good Ã´Maybe This TimeÃ¶ and Ã´Maybe This TimeÃ¶, but it does have
something special exemplified by the steel drum keyboard [sound] which should
melt a few hearts.

Looking back on the bandÃ†s last album, Ã¦A Different LightÃ†, there is quite a
divide between the two. Ã¦A Different LightÃ† seemed to contain an eagerness
and innocence that isnÃ†t really seen on Ã¦QUÃ†. The songs on Ã¦QUÃ†, while still
clearly from the same Sherwood youÃ†ve always known and loved, are more
refined in a Ã¦less is moreÃ† mentality and maturity that only comes with time.

Ã´WornÃ¶ takes the band out of their comfort zone just long enough for them to
become comfortable there as well. Paring with Molly Jenson for a soft and
slick duet, Ã´WornÃ¶ grows on you quickly as it is able to simultaneously lull
you into a deeply relaxed state. Ã´No BetterÃ¶ similarly plays the mellow card
while digging deeper into an emotional topic of a family torn apart by
divorce.

This album is easily the best record Sherwood has ever put out, not to a
fault of the other records, simply based on the strength of these beautifully
crafted gems. Everything youÃ†re looking for in a collection of songs,
cohesive variety along with stimulating lyrical and musical content that
compliment each other perfectly, is present.
